A Write to Dance: Narrow the gap in Literacy attainment  with this funded Literacy and Indian Classical Dance Programme

Funded by Education Endowment Fund, Khyal Arts presents this exciting literacy, classical Indian dance and puppetry programme specifically aimed at developing literacy skills with Key Stage One children.

Focusing on literacy and dance, we will close the gap between lower and higher attainment in Literacy. Through engaging approaches to puppetry, mime and dance (which draws on traditions of storytelling).
A core team of teachers and artists will plan and deliver the sessions in schools and foster children’s love of literacy. Be amongst the first in the country to take part in this innovative project.

“We are very happy with the quality of the teaching. Feedback from the children has also been good to the point where we are still having children ask if they can join.”
