Senior Youth Worker, Platform in Islington, Isledon Arts
Isledon Arts CIC manages three youth hubs on behalf of Islington Council. Platform is our creative venue. Our programme offers a universal service with the aim to provide innovative experiences for young people. You will work with both the youth work team and industry professionals to promote the personal, educational, creative and social development of young people, helping them reach their full potential. We aim to provide supportive environment where young people learn to;

- be motivated, positive and resilient
As senior youth worker you will deliver drop in sessions, facilitate the delivery of creative and partnership projects, act as safeguarding lead, manage the youth work team and ensure the environment is safe and welcoming. You will make sure all projects are properly documented, are delivered within budget and that work is evaluated.
In addition you will leading in the management of outreach activities, developing and maintaining strong community relationships with schools, colleges, and youth networks in Islington.
Ideal candidates will have experience of managing staff in a youth work setting, excellent communication skills and be politically and creatively aware and ‘plugged in’ to emerging youth sub-culture. You will be positive about embracing challenge and change, open to experimenting, new ideas and working with other organisations in a spirit of partnership. You will need very good organisational, administrative and IT skills. Experience in a community arts setting would be an advantage.
Evening contact work is required three times a week with flexibility around other hours.
