FEVERED SLEEP – Community Catalyst, London Dates: from 7th March – 28th April
Fevered Sleep are creating a team of Community Catalysts or ambassadors, who represent different parts of the community in the Borough of Camden and across London, to help us spread the word about our project, Men & Girls Dance, between 7th March and 28th April 2017.
Men & Girls Dance brings together two very different groups of performers: men who dance professionally and girls from London who dance for fun. At times playful, at times provocative, Men & Girls Dance celebrates the rights of adults and children to be together, to play together and to dance together. It’s a joyful celebration of tenderness, empathy, and love. We want to make sure people from all walks of life and backgrounds across the whole community feel welcome to attend the show, which is why we are recruiting Community Catalysts.
Our ideal Community Catalysts will have good communication skills, a strong sense of motivation, and plenty of enthusiasm. They will take part in an induction training session, , r eceive a toolkit, £100 to cover their expenses, a free ticket to the show, and an invitation to watch a rehearsal and meet the Artistic Directors. In return we will ask the Catalysts to go out and talk to their networks, give out our newspaper and flyers, invite people to the Men & Girls Dance performances, and collect feedback, with plenty of support from the team at Fevered Sleep and The Place.
