LSO St Luke’s Digital Tech Group

Digital Tech Group gives young musicians, performers and producers between the ages of 12 and 20 the opportunity to access the professional recording suite at LSO St Luke’s – the London Symphony Orchestra’s dedicated building on Old Street.

Running every Monday 4pm-7pm during term time, you can receive expert help and support to write, produce and record your own music using the wide variety of instruments, technology and software available.  The main workshop room is equipped with 10 Apple iMac computers complete with a range of professional audio software including Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Reason, Garageband and Sibelius.  In addition a good selection of microphones (from Neumann, AKG, Sennheiser, Shure, Beyer Dynamic etc.), outboard studio equipment (preamps, compressors, EQs etc.) and electric and acoustic instruments are available to use for recording in the two live rooms.

Across the year there are opportunities to work with professional musicians and composers, and build towards performance opportunities at venues like the Barbican and LSO St Luke’s.

The Group is free to join, but only by prior arrangement  – email or call +44 20 7566 2878 for more information.
